5th Sunday Singin' At Erin CP A Huge Success!

The second "5th Sunday Singin'" for 2008 was held at the historic and beautiful Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located in downtown Erin. The church was standing room only, filled with area CP choirs and guests. The Arlington CP Choir presented some awesome messages in song, and Kathy Smith sang two beautiful solos for the event. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed delicious refreshments from the wonderful and hospitable Erin CP congregation.

The next "5th Sunday Singin'" will be held August 31, 5pm, at the Liberty CP Church in Clarksville, TN.

Arlington CP Wins "Best Booth" At Houston County Relay For Life!

The Arlington CP Church has done it once again, winning "Best Booth" at the 2008 Houston County Relay For Life event, held in Erin, Tennessee! The theme for this year's event was "Saddle Up For A Cure," and the Arlington team decorated their booth in a country/western theme. The team even broke into song for the judges, with a rousing rendition of "Happy Trails To You!" Way to go, Arlington Team!

The team sold beverages and baked goods to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Several luminaries were purchased by the congregation, in honor of or in memory of a loved one with cancer.

Thank you to everyone who participated in some way to make this event a success, whether it was being on the relay team, donating money to the cause, donating drinks and food for the booth, or assisting with the booth decoration and takedown! We appreciate you so much!
